From 21 to 25 April, the 25th Film Forum “Un Vārds tapa filma...” (“And the Word Became Film...”) will take place at the K.Suns cinema (Elizabetes iela 83/85) in Riga. This year, eight films will be screened. Two of the titles are the 2024 work of local filmmakers, and six of the films have won awards at various international film festivals, including the International Ecumenical Jury Awards. The films’ messages raise fundamental questions about the spirituality among people, the search for identity and values, the balance between the mind and emotions, and human and social values.
The film forum is supported by the Embassy of Norway, the Embassy of Denmark, and the Nordic Council of Ministers' Office in Latvia. Organised by the Stunda Foundation.
Entrance fee – donation.
